Hi and welcome to my blog! I'm glad that you decided to stop by my little corner of the world, way over here in Cairo, Egypt. My name is Lisa Hashem and I am a writer. I write for all ages and all genres, with a focus mainly on children's stories and poetry. Writing is my life. I have been writing since my early elementary school years. I won first place in a writing contest in third grade back in 1969. The contest was for all third grade classes throughout the state of Indiana, and it was put on by the governor of Indiana at that time, Governor Edgar D. Whitcomb. I was presented an autographed copy of his book, Escape from Corregidor, thus the beginning of my love of writing.
I spend most of my time in a quiet little corner with a good cup of hot coffee and my laptop, lost in my little world of writing. To date I have had several of my poems published on Underneath the Juniper Tree's website and in their online magazine. I am in the process of completing an interview for a spotlight they will be doing on me, to appear on their website in the near future. I recently completed two children's stories that are ready to be sent out, and I am currently working on several others. Last night I completed and sent out another one of my poems to Underneath the Juniper Tree. Wish me luck.
Well, I've got to go grab another cup of hot coffee and get back to work. Glad you joined me and I hope to see you back tomorrow!
